One month to go…

Paying tax to HMRC…until the first of four key October accounting deadlines

It may not be a month you usually associate with deadlines like this, but it’s super important you mark the dates on your calendar! After all, you could be forking out a pretty penny in fines if you miss the deadlines.

But atA4C, we want to make sure you’re way ahead of the game…a whole month early! So, grab your diary and a chunky highlighter; these are the dates you need to remember:

1st October

Increase in National Minimum Wage (up to £6.50 for adults)

5th October

End of the tax quarter

22nd October

Deadline for payment of PAYE Settlement Agreement (if any) for tax year ended 5th April 2014 by approved electronic payment methods (for non-electronic payments, the deadline is 19th October)

31st October

Deadline for submissions of paper Self-Assessment tax return for tax year ended 5th April 2014.
